Our owner, Joe Wurz, was born and raised on a tree fruit farm down the road in picturesque Keremeos, helping tend to it throughout his school years.

He made his way to the Lower Mainland to pursue his education at the University of British Columbia, returning to the family farm most summers until it sold in 1965. The Similkameen called him back after a business career in Vancouver. A part of him never truly left and his desire to “grow things with excellent quality” drove him to purchase Tree to Me in 2008 and develop this 40-acre property from a hay field to a working farm, where fresh, organic produce could grow and thrive.

Joe continues to be fully involved in business in the Lower Mainland, but he and his wife Kathy can often be found at the farm, admiring the hidden gem that’s now here.
